It had been almost a year and a half since our beloved boxer, Rowdy, passed away. We had been thinking of getting another family companion, looking occasionally on line for breeders. We have always liked the spaniel breed, so we were looking in that direction. My wife did a lot of research for months, until we began to get serious and narrow the field down to a couple of breeders. We were sure we wanted a Cocker Spaniel, and it was extremely important to us to make sure we had a strong and healthy bloodline. We contacted Carol at Pied D'or American Cocker Spaniels, and after some conversation determined she was the one we wanted to go with. Ultimately, we ended up with two beautiful males from Ringo and Pia's litter born in July, 2020. Although a handful, as normal puppy stage is, we could not be happier. Our boys are healthy, active, and athletic, bringing us much love and companionship. They are learning quickly and blending in perfectly with our family. During the process of waiting until they were of age to leave their litter, we got to know quite a bit about Carol through our conversations. She is not “just a breeder,” she genuinely loves her family of Cockers, and is deeply concerned about their health and welfare. She truly cares about how her pups are adopted and was very helpful with guidance regarding care, feeding, vaccines, etc. We think very highly of Carol, and would not hesitate to recommend Pied D'or American Cocker Spaniels to anyone wanting to adopt a beautiful, pure bread cocker spaniel.
